Meet Rachel G. Huveldt, RN, MPA

Throughout my career in healthcare, my consistent goal has been to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals I encounter. My diverse experience spans acute care hospitals, medical clinics, Fortune 500 companies, and even the airline industry, where a near-miss incident led to a life-altering injury — the rupture of three cervical discs.

This injury sparked an 8-year journey of seeking relief from debilitating migraine headaches. Despite consulting numerous physicians and trying various therapies, it wasn’t until a sports medicine physician diagnosed my condition and I underwent cervical fusion that I found some relief. However, the real turning point came in 2015 when my Chihuahua, Bob, faced paralysis in his hind legs. Unwilling to subject him to traumatic back surgery, I discovered the effectiveness of light therapy through a dog chiropractor. This revelation led me to Dan Schell, the engineer behind the light therapy machine that successfully treated Bob.

Inspired by the transformative power of light therapy, my husband, Bob, and I began using the medical device ourselves. Seeing its positive impact on our health, I felt compelled to share this treatment option with others seeking pain relief. Thus, BIOLight Therapy was born.

Establishing my practice in 2016, I witnessed the FDA-approved light therapy evolve from pain management to a versatile solution for various chronic inflammatory disorders. Conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Long Covid, Cognitive Decline, and Dementia have seen positive outcomes through light therapy’s ability to reduce inflammation and modulate the immune response.

My personal commitment to using light therapy for maintaining health and well-being fuels my mission to introduce this transformative treatment to those suffering from pain and various afflictions. With BIOLight Therapy, my aim is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who entrust me with their well-being.

I am committed to providing personalized health and wellness services to individuals seeking my care, and strive to understand each person, addressing not only immediate concerns but also fostering long-term well-being. Collaboration with like-minded healthcare professionals, and other disciplines, is a cornerstone of my practice, as we work together to achieve a higher collective purpose.
